Island sinks are the trickiest, since there’s no wall to hide a vent in; the usual answers are a loop vent under the cabinet or an air admittance valve where the local code allows one. We’ll look at the floor, the crawlspace or slab, and the route back to the nearest drain before quoting. Choosing a Faucet That Lasts

Style is your call; durability is where we can help. Look for a faucet whose replacement cartridge is sold by the maker and stocked locally, a solid metal body rather than a plated plastic one, and supply connections that don’t depend on proprietary fittings. For a kitchen, check that the spout clears your sink’s depth and your window sill. For a bathroom, match the spout reach to the bowl so water lands in the middle, not on the back edge.
