Did the job in the quoted time frame installed the correct water heater (for a manufactured home), a BETTER water heater. The cost was what they quoted the day of the estimate NO surprises, the only extra cost was for hauling away the water heater so ask at the estimate if you need that, it's not much at all. Called and set up a service call with Bernie for the next morning. Brock Pluming showed up right at 9AM (call time 9 to 11 AM) - We needed our tankless water heater flushed and water pressure valve checked. Service tech Michael was professional, super knowledgeable and a great guy !!! Flush went fine and took the time that he told me it would take. Michael showed me that our water pressure valve had gone bad and said it needed to be replaced. He had to go get the part as it was not on his truck. Michael returned in about 20 minutes, replaced the valve and set the proper pressure for the house. I highly recommend Brock Pluming and specifically Michael for any and all plumbing needs !!!! My water heater died. It is the day before Thanksgiving. I know there is one plumber I can count on for honest, quality service, here in Palmdale. The plumber came at 12:45 p.m.. By 4:45, he was done installing a new water heater, and had cleaned up after himself, and instructed me on its use. I have used Brock Plumbing before, and will never go anywhere else, neither should you.

A shower tends to give warnings before it fails outright. These are the ones worth acting on:

What a Shower Valve Repair Involves
Most repairs start with the trim. We shut off the water, pull the handle and escutcheon, and look at the cartridge and the valve body behind it. Hard water leaves scale on cartridges and seats all over the high desert, and plenty of stiff or dripping valves come back to life with a matched replacement cartridge and a cleaned seat. When the manufacturer still supports the valve, you keep your tile, your trim and your budget.
Where the brand is unknown or discontinued, we identify the valve body before promising anything. Some older valves simply don’t have parts anymore, and forcing a near-match cartridge into them tends to leak again within months. We’d rather tell you that up front than sell you a repair that won’t hold.
When Shower Replacement Is the Better Call
Replacement comes up in a handful of situations: the valve is obsolete, the pan or liner is leaking, the framing behind the tile is water damaged, or you want to change the shower itself, say a tub-to-shower conversion or a thermostatic valve with separate volume control. Swapping a valve means opening the wall behind it or cutting an access panel from the next room, and we’ll talk through which side makes more sense for your house.
A full replacement follows a set order. We remove the old valve and any failed pan, set the new valve at the right depth for the trim you’ve picked, pressure test the new connections before anything is closed up, and check the drain and the pan slope. Shower Repair and Replacement FAQs
Usually, yes. Most cartridge and seat repairs are done through the opening behind the handle and trim. Tile only comes into it when the valve body itself has to be replaced and there’s no access from the other side of the wall.
Your valve is supposed to balance pressure between the hot and cold sides. When the balancing part sticks, often from mineral scale, a sudden drop on the cold side isn’t corrected. A cleaned or replaced cartridge normally solves it.
If the walls will be open anyway, it’s the cheapest moment to do it. A new valve behind new tile avoids cutting into finished work later if the old one fails.
We find the source first. Sometimes it’s the drain connection rather than the pan, which is a smaller job. If the pan or liner itself has failed, replacement is the reliable fix, and we’ll explain what that means for the tile above it.
A straight part swap generally doesn’t. Moving the valve or changing the drain during a remodel usually does, and the issuing office depends on whether your address is in a city or in unincorporated county.
